A combative midfielder with fantastic playmaking ability, Hayden is also a great leader on the pitch. He led his high school Onslow College to the league championship in 2008 and also led the Western Suburb’s U-19 team to its second consecutive semi final appearance at the New Zealand U-19 National Club Championship in 2010. Continuing in 2010, Hayden cemented his place in both the Western Suburbs first team in the Central League and the Team Wellington U-20 side in the ASB Youth Premiership. Hayden has since accepted an athletic scholarship to Missouri State University.
