Olé Premier Signs Local Starlets
The Olé Premier Academy has continued their promising recruitment campaign with the signings of highly regarded Wellington talents Michael Hagarty and Nick Edginton.
“Nick and Michael are two more excellent signings for our Premier Academy group. Both players attended our US University Prep camp this past July, and we were also able to observe them play at a high level this winter in the Lotto Central and Football Central Premier Leagues respectively. We’re extremely excited about their potential for the next level and we look forward to helping them develop and reach their goals. Both players have tremendous leadership qualities which we look forward to adding to the group” says Director of Player Development James Prosser.
Michael is an industrious holding midfielder with superb technique who is solid in possession and controls the tempo of the game. Michael has been a revelation in midfield for Football Central Premier League side Stop Out, his form earning a call up to the Team Wellington National Youth League side.
Nick, a centre back, is a physical specimen in terms of his size and strength. He is dominant in the air and looks to build out of the back in possession. Nick has been a key player for his school team, St. Patricks College, and also a starter for Lotto Central League side Petone; a remarkable achievement for a player at his age. Nick has also been selected for the Team Wellington National Youth League side.
