Olé Premier Signs Young Guns
The Olé Premier Academy is happy to announce the signings of Tom Fisher, Lachy Waugh and Alex Palezevic for the 2012 Premier Academy program. All three were foundation members of the Premier program in 2011.
“The ‘young guns’ of the group! The future is very bright for these three additions to our Premier Academy. We are ecstatic at the opportunity to work with them for an extended period of time to fully develop and prepare them for the next level. Their potential is just starting to show and with more hard work all three are going to be a lot of fun to watch in the future” says Director of Player Development James Prosser.
Tom Fisher is a dynamic winger that is comfortable playing on either the right or left side. He is proficient with both feet, can take people on and gets services from wide areas, or can cut inside and shoot from distance, again with either foot. Tom is a tireless worker on both sides of the ball, very observant, disciplined, tuned in both on and off the field, and is always looking for ways to improve his game. Tom was a member of the Wellington College 1st XI team in 2011.
Lachy Waugh is a dominantly left-sided winger who’s very comfortable on the ball and technically very sound. He’s crafty in his movements with and without the ball, is strong in taking defenders on and getting service or creating chances around the box. A bit of a free-spirit, Lachy can play a variety of roles in the midfield and when given some freedom, will create scoring opportunities for himself and others. Lachy was a member of the St. Patrick’s College Silverstream 1st XI team in 2011.
Alex Palezevic has been identified as a rising star in the New Zealand football federation set-up. As a centre midfielder, Alex has uncanny vision and technique, is savvy in his passing and set-ups and keeps the game moving through his possession and combinations with teammates. Alex is skilled with both feet, has a high work rate and a positive personality that is contagious throughout a group environment. Alex was a member of the Onslow College 1st XI team in 2011.
